Ivan "Clinton" Barnes, 60, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. He was born February 6, 1957 in Nash County to the late Willard "Bill" and Lula Mae Langley Barnes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his mother & father-in-law, Anne and Joe Medlin; and nephew, Jeffrey Basinger.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Teresa Medlin Barnes; one daughter, Emily Bass and husband Billy; two brothers, William Barnes, Quentin Barnes and wife Tammy; sister-in-law, JoAnne Basinger and husband Jeff; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Visitation with family and friends will follow after the service.
