Frances Frazier Clay, age 79, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017. Born in Nash County on May 13, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Albert "Dick" Frazier and Sarah "Sadie" Frazier. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James "Jim" Frazier.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bobby Marvin Clay, Sr.; son, Bobby "Marty" Clay, Jr. and wife, Kim, of Rocky Mount; and daughters, Robin E. Clay and fiancé, Don Clayton, Jr., of Hillsborough; and Pamela "Pam" Adams and husband, Wiley, of Apex; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor C.J. Cauble and Dr. Harry Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
