Mary W. "Pokey" Mitchell, 60, of Nashville, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017.

Wake services will be held Thursday, July 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, Nashville. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 14, at 1 p.m. from the Fellowship Church in Nashville. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Reginald Silver will officiate.

She is survived by her husband James Ray Mitchell; daughters, Shaunta Mitchell Brake and Teresa Mitchell, both of Rocky Mount; son, Dexter Mitchell of Knightdale; mother, Evella White of Nashville; sisters, Lourine Roberson and Minnie Pearl White, both of Rocky Mount; brothers, Luther White of Rocky Mount, Stanley White and William White, both of Nashville; 8 grandchildren.
