DeLeon Parker, Sr.

DeLeon Parker, Sr. passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018. He was born on December 17, 1937 in Nash County to the late Eddie and Alice Eason Parker. The youngest of eleven, he was preceded in death by four brothers Fonzie Parker, Lonzie Parker, O.B. Parker and Eddie Parker, Jr., and 6 sisters Geneva P. Joyner, Viola Parker, Rosetta Parker, Lola P. Clack, Gertie Mae P Barbie and Dorothy P Collie.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Constance Dawes Parker; son DeLeon Parker, Jr. and wife, Khristy; daughters Angela P. Davis and husband Dexter, Gwendolyn P. Rigsby, and Terry Parker, all of Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, January 12, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Cornerstone Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Nelms officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
