Ernest Edward Moore, Jr., age 75, of Battleboro, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Born in Nash County, on March 1, 1942, he was the son of the late Ernest Edward Moore, Sr. and Frances Burgess Moore.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy Smith Moore; sons, Ernest Edward Moore, III, Grady Allen Moore and wife, Tonya; daughters, Jacqueline Hathaway and husband, Autry, and Amanda Pruitt and husband, Derek; ten grandchildren; Pruitt, Amelia Pruitt; five great-grandchildren; sister, Dina Lancaster and husband James Ray; and many nieces and nephews.

Services were held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Avalon Baptist Church, Rocky Mount with Joe Price officiating.
