Horace Lee Batchelor

Horace Lee Batchelor, age 82, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018. Born in Nash County on April 3, 1935, he was the son of the late Willie C. Batchelor and Eta Polland Batchelor. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Angela Vicar Batchelor; brothers, Randolph Batchelor and Clarence Batchelor, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Pete Skinner.

He is survived by his sons, Danny Lee Batchelor and Alan Dale Batchelor.; sisters, Mary Skinner of Stantonsburg, Undine Lamm and husband, Willie Gray, of Elm City, Barbara Vick and husband, Herbert, of Nashville, and Peggy Jackson and husband, Donnie, of Rocky Mount; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Floyd Holmes officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
