Richard Wayne Marks, Sr., age 68, passed away April 21, 2018. He was born in Rocky Mount on December 30, 1949, to the late Evelyn Pepper and Charles Spurgeon Marks.
He is survived by his wife Helen Minges Marks; children, Richard Wayne Marks, Jr. and his wife, Shanda, Tina Marks Parker and her husband, Larry, Scott Boseman and his wife, Jessica, and Elizabeth Boseman and her fiancé, Matt Moore; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Debbie Wildman, husband Jerry, Phyllis Strickland, and Sharon Johnson, his brothers, Keith Marks, wife, Lynette and Jeff Marks and wife, Cathy, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Ralph Brown officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leggett Volunteer Fire Department, 29 Draughn Road, Tarboro, NC 27886 or Christian Fellowship Home: Veterans Home, 301 Grace Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 in Ricky's memory.
