BRUCE LEE TANT

OCTOBER 23, 1947 - MAY 9, 2018

Bruce Lee Tant, 70, of Kenly passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018. His funeral service was conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Joyner's Funeral Home, Wilson. His nephew, Pastor Michael Renfrow officiated. Interment will be private and held at a later date.

The family received friends Saturday evening from 5:30 - 6:45 p.m. prior to the service at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Bruce is survived by his very special companion, Mae "Maeberry" Raper; his daughters, Laurie Tant Bushee (Mike), and Bonnie Tant Parrish (Michael); grandchildren, Jonathan Kluge, Bryson Parrish, Dalton Parrish, and Tori Parrish; special fur-friends, Shee-Wee, Ladybug, and, Angel; several special nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special cousin, J.C. Bryant; his brothers, Billy Tant (Ann) and Marshall Tant (Anne), and his sisters, Melvie Jean Lanier, Annie Ruffin (David), Shirley Tant (Glenn), and Angela Whitehead (Allen).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robie L. Tant and Sadie G. Tant, and his siblings, Easter Pearl Tant, and Annie Ruth Tant.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials in Bruce's memory to For the Love of Dogs, 5146 Quaker Road, Wilson, North Carolina 27893 or to a charity of one's choice.
