Kerney Thomas "Tommy" Peele

Kerney Thomas "Tommy" Peele, age 72, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on July 18, 1945, he was the son of the late Luther Turner Peele and Arlene Batchelor Peele. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William "Butch" Peele.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Voloria Todd Peele; children, Chris Peele (Shay) of Wilson, Brian Peele (Angela) of Nashville, Carol Anne Peele of Rocky Mount; step-children, Cathy Bird of Rocky Mount, and David Vick of Rocky Mount; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church, Elm City, with the Pastor CJ Cauble officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to at Southside Baptist Church, 4948 Carter Road, Elm City, NC 27822.
