Jesse Donald House

JESSE DONALD HOUSE

Jesse Donald House, 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior in his heavenly home on October 12, 2018. He fought long and hard to regain his strength but his body was just too tired to continue. Jesse was born January 1, 1936 to the late Jesse James and Pattie Ward House. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Alice House Hyde and Evelyn House Webster.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 59 years, Shirley Shearin House, daughter, Kelle House Joyner and husband Bennie Lee Joyner, Jr; grandson, Dustin Lee Joyner and wife Mallory Bass Joyner; great-granddaughter, Avery Claire Joyner; sister, Carol House Boney, and husband J.W. Boney; several very special nieces, nephews and friends. We will cherish the memories and you will live forever in our hearts.

Jesse made his career at Standard Electric- SE&M for over 47 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved working in the yard, hunting, fishing, the beach and mountains. He was a long standing member of the Rocky Mount Elks Lodge, a member and board member of Oak Level Ruritan Club. He also enjoyed his membership with Brinkleyville Hunting Club until health issues made it impossible.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Prodigy Rehab for their excellent care.

Visitation with family and friends will be Monday, October 15, 2018 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel with Rev. Kenny Byrd officiating. Entombment will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting gifts of love be made to Nashville Baptist Church Memorial Fund.

Cornerstone Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the House family and words of comfort may be shared at www.cornerstonefuneralhomeandcremations.com Cornerstone Funeral Home 1052 South First Street, Nashville, NC 27856.
