Frances Gale Rooks Bengel, 76, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018. She was born June 22, 1942 in Columbus County to the late John and Thelma Jackson Rooks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, John Russell Bengel; three brothers, Bobby, David and John Rooks.

She is survived by her son, John Edward Bengel and wife Celia; three daughters, Tammy Robards, Connie Luper and Bonnie Bengel; sister, Louise Gay and husband Tommy; five grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 2 p.m., Forest Cemetery with Rev. Charles Taylor officiating.
