Katherine Fountain Belk

ROCKY MOUNT - Katherine Fountain Belk, age 61, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Born in Nash County on October 22, 1957, she is the daughter of Richard Tillman Fountain, Jr. and the late Katherine "Kacky" Blue Fountain. In addition to her mother, she is also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Richard T. Fountain, Former Lt. Governor of North Carolina, and Susan Rankin Fountain, and her maternal grandparents, Julian H. Blue and Katherine Floyd Blue.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Richard Belk of Rocky Mount; daughter, Courtney Belk Gardner and her husband, Michael, of Wendell; sons, Conly Belk and his wife, Candice, Nathan Belk and his wife, Casey all of Nashville; five grandchildren; and brother, Richard Tillman Fountain, III. and his wife, Emily of Raleigh; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Christ Covenant Church, 3124 Belmont Lake Drive, Rocky Mount, with Pastor Dennis Darville officiating. A reception with the family will follow the service at Christ Covenant Church.

A Private Family Burial of Cremains will take place at Pineview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Your Choice Resource Center, 400 Sunset Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804
