Cynthia "Cindy" Cary Whitehurst passed away on December 8, 2018. She was born October 8, 1953 to James McLindy Cary and Lois-Jean Keen Cary.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Lois Jean Cary.

She is survived by her father, James Cary of Rocky Mount; her husband of 31 years, Alvin Whitehurst of Rocky Mount; her two sons Michael Eric Cook and wife Lisa of Nashville, and James Patrick Cook and wife Emily of Battleboro; her daughter Brittany Whitehurst of Nashville; 3 grandchildren; her brother Steve Cary and wife Sandra of Rocky Mount; the father of her two sons Mike Cook.

A visitation service will be held Tuesday, December 11, at 6 p.m. at Elm Grove Baptist Church in Nashville followed by a Memorial Service at 7 p.m.
