Lizzie Marie Whitley, 86, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019. She was born December 20, 1932 in Edgecombe County to the late Randolph and Letha Proctor Morgan. In addition to Lizzie's parents she was preceded in death by her husband David Lee Whitley, two sisters and five brothers.

She is survived by two sons, David B. Whitley and wife Beth, Paul Whitley; one daughter, Beverly Trayer and husband Thomas; one brother, Roy Morgan and wife Jean; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Bossolona and Dr. David B. Whitley officiated. Burial followed at Williams Cemetery in Edgecombe County.
