Della Pridgen Young, 87, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019. She was born Sept. 12, 1931 in Nash County, daughter of the late John and Bertha Manning Pridgen. She was also preceded in death by husband, James Harold Young and son, James Harold (Hal) Young, Jr.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, J. Craig and Lisa Young of Greensboro; daughter and son-in-law, Larry and Connie Young Smith of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren; sisters, Jean Bunn, Janice Sykes and Dianne Bunn all of Spring Hope; two nieces; two nephews; and ex-husband, James Linwood May of Nashville.

The family will receive friends from 12 - 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Chet Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
