Ronald Lee Young, 85, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019. Born in Duplin County on October 2, 1933, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Young and Jenny Hollingsworth Young. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen Joyner Young; brothers, William "Billy" Young, Gary "Buck" Young; and sister, Kitty Woodcock.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Kaye Shearin Young; and his daughter, Rhonda Massey and husband, Tommy, of Nashville. He is also survived by brother, Glenn Young and wife, Geraldine; and sister, Earlene Jackson of Rocky Mount.
A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Brandon Dees and Pastor Dean Jackson officiating. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
