MICHAEL LAWRENCE TART
ROCKY MOUNT – Rev. Michael Lawrence Tart, 54, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today (Aug. 30) at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to the interment at Prospect Free Will Baptist Church in Dunn at 2 p.m.

He was born Oct. 1, 1951 in Harnett County, son of the late Herbert Lawrence and Doris Bowden Tart.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; daughter, Amanda Michelle Tart of Wendell; stepdaughters, Lisa Spindler of Greenville and Jerri Obert of Charlotte; brothers, Mark Tart of Statesville, Tim Tart and Jonathan Tart, both of Benson; stepmother, Sadie J. Tart; two grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lebanon United Methodist Church, 7224 Lindell Road, Stantonsburg, N.C. 27883.
