ROCKY MOUNT - Larry Neil Baines, 56, died Monday, September 18, 2006. He was born February 6, 1950 in Edgecombe County, son of the late William Roy and Dumie Whitley Baines. Along with his parents, which preceded him in death is his wife, Judy Macklin Baines, and his brother, Willie Baines.
Survivors include two daughters: Anita Baines Lassiter and husband Larry, and Linda Baines Serafin and husband Omar both of Rocky Mount; four sisters: Faye B. Batchelor and husband Leon of Wilson, Joy Murphrey Castleton and husband Bill of Greenville, Pam B. Gardner of Rocky Mount, and Hope B. King of Durham; three brothers: Kenneth Baines and wife Mamie of Clarksville, TN, Royce W. Baines of Bailey, and Dwight Baines and wife Donna of Farmville and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
