SPRING HOPE - Judith Catherine Harris Gatling, 66, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at home. She was born on April 20, 1943, to the late Huford and Lucille Wheless Harris.
A celebration of her life was held on Sunday, September 13, at 11 a.m. at Duke Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, 4164 NC 581 Hwy, Spring Hope.
Surviving are her daughter, Trina Mager; grandchildren, Caleb Ray and Heidi Ray; special friend and partner for nineteen years, Gerald Edwards; sister, Genora H. Greene of Spring Hope; brothers, Charles Harris of Spring Hope and Julian Harris of Raleigh.
Judy was predeceased by her husband, Curtis Gatling; one son, Danny; and a brother, George Kelly Harris.
The family received friends Saturday, September 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Spring Hope Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Duke Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Judy Gatling or Lucille W. Harris.
Arrangements are entrusted to Spring Hope Funeral Home.
