Wallace “Stanley” Hardee, 85, passed away, Thursday, November 26, 2009. He was born October 8, 1924 in Halifax County. He was the son of the late, Sidney and Hettie Hamm Hardee. Stanley was a loving husband and father. He was a member of The American Legion Post 110. He owned and operated Stanley’s Repair Shop. Stanley was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Clinton.
He leaves to cherish his wife of 65 years, Christine Hardee, two daughters, Gail Freeman and husband Butch of Nashville, Susan Hardee of Nashville, two grandchildren, Joey and Jessica Freeman, two niece’s, Linda Hardee Bond and Charlene Hardee Smith, one nephew, Ted Hardee.
Visitation was Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Graveside service was, Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery of Nashville with the Rev. Woody Jones officiating.
