CHERYL POLLARD FISHER
RED OAK - Cheryl Pollard Fisher, 60, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010.  She was born August 03, 1949 in Nash County, daughter of Bennie and Marion Pollard. She was preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Thomas Dwight Fisher; father, Bennie Pollard of Rocky Mount; daughter, Catryna Fisher Johnson and husband Jeremy of Dortches; three sons, Walter Brent Fisher and wife Ashton of Red Oak, Michael Bryant Fisher and wife Julie of Red Oak and Adam Scott Fisher and wife Ashley of Rocky Mount; and five grandchildren.  She is also survived by four brothers, Wayne Pollard and wife, Loraine of Ohio, Mark Pollard and wife, Teresa of Currituck, Walt Pollard and wife, Patty of Wilmington and Mike Pollard and wife, Vickie of Rocky Mount; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family received friends and relatives from 7-8:30pm Friday, February 26, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home.  A funeral service to remember Cheryl was held at 2:00pm Saturday, February 27, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Upchurch officiating. Burial followed at Red Oak Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Red Oak Fire Department, Red Oak Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice and Palliative Care of Nash General.
