FLORINE COOKE BASS BRASWELL
 Florine Cooke Bass Braswell, 95, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010. She was born on July 13, 1914 to Simon and Nora Smith Cooke. She was a native and life-long resident of Nashville and Nash County.

She was first married to Roger C. Bass who died in 1962. She later married Joseph M. Braswell who died in 1982. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Leo Earl, Oliver Kermit, Simon Hoy and Avis Smith Cooke. She is survived by her son, Stephen R. Bass and wife, Anita; step-daughter, Annie Pearl Puckett; brother, Bruce L. Cooke and wife, Elaine, all of Nashville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather Bass Moody and husband, Doug, of Wilson; Brad Bass of Nashville; Terry Puckett Proctor and husband ,Steve, of Raleigh; Brian Puckett and wife, Cindy, of Nashville; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Friday, March 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. George Fox and Rev. Frankie Carroll officiating. Visitation will follow immediately after the service. A private burial will be at the Bass Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 4848 Pleasant Grove Church Road, Nashville, NC 27856
