JOSEPH MURRAY BRASWELL
CASTALIA – Joseph Murray Braswell, age 86 of Castalia, died August 14, at Autumn Care of Nashville.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Virginia Dare Coggin Braswell and Father Murray Eugene Braswell, wife Dorothy C. Braswell, Sisters Ilda Leonard, Margie Parrish and Hattie Strum.

He is survived by his two daughters Carol Braswell Winstead and husband Bill of Bailey, and Linda Braswell Leonard and husband Robert of Concord; sons Joseph Eugene Braswell and wife Millie of Spring Hope and William Michael Braswell of Fuquay Varina; 7 grandchildren; 8 great Grandchildren

A celebration of life service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in the Chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremation with the Rev. Robert Leonard officiating. The interment followed in the Forrest Hills Cemetery with Military and Fireman Honors.

The family received friends Monday night from 6:30  until 9:00 p.m. at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount.
