CASH WILLIAMS HAGGERTY
Cash Williams Haggerty, 91, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010.

Cash was born and raised in Eastern N.C. He is predeceased by his parents, his wife Louise Raines (“Tippy”); his first son, Cash W. “Chuck”; brothers Joe and Jim.

Cash is survived by his daughter, Theresa and her husband Drew Harrell of Wake Forest; sons, Michael and his wife Debbie of Mackeys Ferry and Barton and his wife, Peggy of Knightdale;  7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters Jean H. Kilby of Tarboro and Loretta H. Salisbury of Rocky Mount; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the church with the Father Tim Meares, celebrant. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation was held at the house on Friday afternoon from 5 until 7:00 pm.

Memorials may be made in Cash’s honor to the Cash Haggerty Memorial Fund c/o Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1015 Ashes Drive, Suite 101, Wilmington, NC 28405 (910-509-9899) His family is being served by Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, 1130 N. Winstead Ave. in Rocky Mount.
