WALTER “LEE” ROGERS
Walter “Lee” Rogers passed away on November 18, 2010 at the Britthaven Nursing Facility in Louisburg. He was born to the late Fred Rogers, Jr. and Rubie W. Rogers. Along with his parents, Rogers was preceded in death by his sisters, Christine Rogers and Dorothy Rawley.

Survivors include his wife, Minister Patricia Rogers; son Jameel Williams and wife, L. Kita; sisters, Mildred Wright and husband, Nathaniel of Washington, DC and Yvonne W. Rogers of Newark, NJ; brother Fred Douglas Rogers and wife Mary; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Rawley Sr. of Washington, DC and Frank Gavin of Irvington, NY; sisters-in-law  Marian R. Pierce of Raleigh, Lina A. Mack of W. Bronx, NY, Loretta H. Tappan of Charlotte and Gloria P. Dunston and husband Rudolph of Spring Hope; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church in Nashville with the Dr. Thomas E. McCullers officiating. Interment was at the Roger’s Family Cemetery in Nashville.
