Betty June Pridgen Bunn, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 24, 2010.
She was born June 20, 1936 in Nash County the daughter of late Morning Alice Baines and William Ernest Pridgen.
She was preceded in death by husband of 50 years, Reuben Vann Bunn; two brothers, Randolph and James “Doodle” Pridgen and three sisters, Frances Hunt, Verna Mae Fulgham and Erdeen Lamm.
She is survived by one son, Terry Vann Bunn and wife Morgan of Raleigh, one daughter, Sheryl Lynn Ames and husband Clifton of Spring Hope; five grandchildren.
Visitation was held Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A graveside service was held Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Duke Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery of Justice, NC, with the Rev. Jack Edge officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Duke Memorial Baptist Church.
