TOMMYE JOHNSON WHEELESS
Tommye Johnson Wheeless, 78, passed away, Friday, December 31, 2010. She was born June 25, 1932 in Granville County. Tommye was the daughter of the late Daniel Sloan and Bertha Grace Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Frederick Wheeless, step-mother, Helen Whitehurst Johnson and daughter-in-law, Debbie Wheeless.

She is survived by one son, Danny Wheeless of Rocky Mount, two daughters, Patricia Boeck and husband Joe of Rocky Mount, Deborah Harcz and husband Tom of Holly Springs, one sister, Mary Grace Hale of  Raleigh, one step-sister, Peggy Schoenagel of PA., five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Visitation followed after the service.

Live plants will be accepted or memorials may be made to United First Methodist Church.
