Mary "Maggie" Langley Joyner, age 97, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017. Born in Nash County on May 29, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John William Langley and Doxie Joyner Langley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Joyner; and her siblings, William John Langley, Russell Lee Langley, Roscoe Marvin Langley, Cecil Randolph "Bill" Langley, Alton Lessers "Tom" Langley, Wallace Horace Langley, Junior Langley, Oscar Darl Langley, Marshall Edward Langley, Charlie Langley, and Effie Carolyn Langley.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Jimmy Reavis and Pastor Bob Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Highway 58 in Wilson. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home.
