James Adam Allen, Sr., 81, passed away August 3, 2018. He was born March 10, 1937 in Whitewood, Va. to the late William Harvey and Esty Viars Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Allen of Bailey; daughter, Terry A. Winstead and husband Bobby of Bailey; son, James "Jimmy" Adam Allen, Jr. and Becky of Emerald Isle; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Allen of Yukon, WV; Kelly Allen and wife Vada of Lerona, WV; three sisters, Ella Lawson and husband Don of Virglinia, Va, Sereta Muncy of Marion, Va, and Brenda Allen of South Boston, VA.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Michael Clark officiating. Visitation with family and friends will follow the service.
