Hilda Alice Ashe, 85, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018. She was born November 1, 1932 in Albemarle, Virginia to the late Hunter and Ruth Clark Houchens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel David Ashe; five brothers, Clyde Clark, James, Robert, Hunter and Ben Houchens; three sisters, Mary Dudley, Doris Pace and Margaret Haney; grandson, David Lee "Skeeter" Ashe.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Perrin Ashe and wife Betty, Langley David Ashe and wife Angela; two daughters, Pamela A. Johnson and husband Charles, Patricia Ann Dunivan and husband Ralph; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, October 5, 2018 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home.
