NASHVILLE - Bertha Mae Edwards Bracey, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Born in Ivor, VA on October 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William Dennis Edwards and Annie Mary Johnson Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Simpson Bracey; three brothers; two sisters; and son-in-law, Willis James Moore.

She is survived by her son, Earl Hilton Bracey and wife, Mary, of Nashville and daughter, Jo Ann Pierce of Nashville; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, W. D. Edwards of Seaboard; sister, Kitty Bracey of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Friday, February 1, 2019 in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Willie Brown officiating. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
