ROCKY MOUNT - Sheila Kennedy Joyner, age 60, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019. Born in Nash County on December 20, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Griffin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stephen Joyner; and two sons, Scotty Ray Joyner and Andy Ray Joyner.

She is survived by her son, Robert Steven Joyner, Jr. (Crystal); her mother, Doris Kennedy Griffin; sister, Lisa Dickerson (Andy); brother, Wayne Griffin (Sandy); four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Debra Edmondson, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 2-3 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Private burial.
