East End Baptist Church
The fall sessions of the East End Community Sisterhood Outreach Ministry will be in session  Tuesday, October 22nd through 29th from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  Reverend Dorothy Ervin will be the facilitator. The topic is “Sisters’ United  In Prayer.”
The East End Community Sisterhood Outreach Ministry will host its annual Fall Conference. This years’ conference will focus on “Breast Cancer Awarness.” The church is asking all survivors of  Breast Cancer to call 252-446-5442 to pre-register. “A Ladies in Pink Luncheon” will be held on Saturday, October 25th from 9 until 11 a.m. at the Four Seasons Restaurant, 209 N Church Street, with Pastor Addie H. Rawls, of New Generation Christian Church, as the guest speaker. On Sunday, October 26th, a “Worship in Pink” service will be held at 11 a.m.   Survivors of Breast Cancer will be honored in commemoration of “Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
The church holds a community prayer meeting and testimonial service at 7 p.m. each Wednesday evening followed by Pastor Mack E. Battle facilitating in a verse-by-verse study of the book of 1st Corinthians.
The East End Brotherhood meets on the first and third Saturday of each month at 10 at 928 E. Highland Avenue in Rocky Mount. The focus of the group is to empower men to be responsible leaders in their church and community.

Englewood Baptist Church
The church will hold the East Coast Women’s Bible Conference on Friday, October 17 from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m. and on Saturday, October 18 from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at 1350 South Winstead Avenue in Rocky Mount. Edgecombe/Nash and Vicinity Ministers’ Wives and
Ministers’ Widows Association
The Edgecombe/Nash & Vicinity Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Association will celebrate their 5th annual founder’s day celebration, Saturday November 8th, at 5 p.m. at the RT McCarter Family Life Center. Dr. Shirley Alexander-Hart of Chesapeake, VA who served as the 5th president (1986-1994) of the International Association of Ministers’ Wives & Ministers’ Widows, Inc. will be the guest speaker. The Edgecombe/Nash & Vicinity Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Association will meet on November 3rd at 6 p.m. at East End Baptist Church 928 E. Highland Avenue.  Membership enrollment is open to all Ministers’ Wives or Ministers’ Widows who are licensed to a minister of the gospel. Please call First Lady Deborah J. Swift Creek Missionary Baptist Church
The Gospel Choir will celebrate their 31st anniversary on Saturday, October 18 at 6 p.m. The church is located at 2480 Swift Creek School Road in Whitakers.

Nashville Baptist Church
Nashville Baptist Church has started its AWANA program. The program is for ages three to 12 and is on Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. For info, call the church office at 459-3403.
The church has rescheduled its Community Fun Day for Saturday, October 18 from 10 am to 3 pm. The event was originally set for September 13 but cancelled due to the weather. This is a fun event for all ages!  There will be inflatables for kids, food/drinks, games;, and much more - Admission is free. Nashville Baptist is located on 512 E. Washington Street. 

St. John Missionary Baptist Church
The church will observe Homecoming at the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday, October 19. Rev. Darryl Crump of Washington, DC will be the guest speaker.

Mount Zion First Baptist Church
The church will hold Revival October 22 through 24 at 7 p.m. nightly. The revivalist is Rev. Dr. R. Lee, Pastor of Brown’s Memorial Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD. Different choirs will perform nightly. Mount Zion is located at 320 West Thomas Street, Rocky Mount.

Emanuel Chapel O.F.W.B. Church
The church will hold Prayer Day every Friday at noon at 635 Henry Street in Rocky Mount.
The church will hold a Prayer, Praise and Bible Study every first and third Wednesday night from 7:30 until 9 p.m. This month, the study is on 3rd Corinthians 4:1, verse by verse.
Pastor Dennis Battle and Emanuel Chapel O. F. W. B. Church Family will be rendering services at Parker’s Chapel for Pastor Doretha Brown at the Pastor’s Anniversary Celebration Service.Parker’s Chapel is located at 312 Fedelon Trail, Goldsboro.
The church will hold Communion Service on Saturday, October 25 at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, October 26 at 10 a.m. Pastor, Elder Dennis Battle will bring forth the word and music will be by the Emanuel Chapel O. F. W. B. Senior Choir.
The church will have Rest Home Ministry Service and Communion Service at South Village Nursing Home on November 10 at 7 p.m. with guest preacher, minister Charlene Battle and the Outreach Choir.

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
The church, at 516 N. Church St., Rocky Mount.will host Dr. R. W. Watson and his message, “What does it mean to live in the South?” on Sunday, October 19th at 2 p.m. For information call 972-0221.

Macedonia Baptist Church
The church will have Homecoming Services on Sunday, October 19. The Carlson Trio will be singing at 10 a.m. followed by the message by Rev. John Hamm. Lunch will be served after the 11 a.m. service. All are invited to attend.  The church is located at 551 Macedonia Road in Spring Hope.

Corinth Baptist Church
The church will hold Revival Services with Evangelist Oliver Cagle Wednesday, October 15 through Saturday, October 18 at 7 p.m. nightly.
The church will celebrate Homecoming on Sunday, October 19 with Evangelist Oliver Cagle as the special guest speaker. The church is located at 2883 N NC Highway 58 in Nashville.

Southside Baptist Church
The church will hold its Second Annual Fall Bazaar on Saturday, November 8 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be many local vendors with fabulous gifts, including tupperware, mongrams, Thirty One, Vinyl gifts,  homemade jewelry, funnel cakes, hot dogs and more! The church will have a Turkey Shoot every Friday and Saturday night from 7 until 9 p.m. from October 3 until mid-December. All proceeds will benefit mission projects. The church is located at 4948 Carter Road in Elm City.

Sandy Cross United Methodist Church
The Sandy Cross Methodist Men and Women will sponsor a Barbecued Chicken Plate sale on Oct 17 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Coopers Ruritan Club. Plates are $7 each. Bake goods will also be available. Eat in or take out.

Power House Church of God in Christ
The church will hold Homecoming October 15 through 18 at 7:30 p.m. nightly and on October 19 at 4 p.m. The church is located at 8737 Highway 58 South, Elm City.

Ridgecrest Worship Center
The church will have a 90th anniversary celebration on Saturday, October 18 at 7 p.m. with the Lee Symphonic Band from Lee University in Cleveland, TN and on Sunday, October 19 at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Lamar Vest as the keynote speaker. Ridgecrest Worship Center is located at 1120 West Mount Drive in Rocky Mount.

Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church
Nashville’s American Legion Post 293 will present its Ninth Veterans Day Appreciation Service, “They Answered the Call,” on Sunday, November 9 at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Davis. The service will recognize those in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard. The guest choir will be Saint John Baptist Church and the All Male Choir. Philadelphia M.B. Church is located at 2872 Duke Road, Nashville.

Castalia Baptist Church
The church will hold a fish fry on Friday, October 17 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the church on Main Street in Castalia. All you can eat, eat in or curb service. The cost is $8. Call 459-4663 for more info.
