Faith Family Worship P.H. Church
The church will hold a BBQ Chicken Plate sale on Friday, September 26 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Plates include green beans, potatoes, bread and cake. Plates are $7 each. Prophetess Shareta Berry Ministries presents International Women’s Allance Ministry Local Network Gathering Meeting on October 4 from 1 until 3 p.m. at 1201 Luper St., Rocky Mount.
The center’s 2nd annual Thanksgiving Food Drive will be held from Sept. 5 through Nov. 10 Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 1201 Luper Street, Rocky Mount. Please use the side entrance. The goal is to feed 100 families this Thanksgiving. For info, call 919-213-1341 or 252-407-8809.
East End Baptist Church
The fall sessions of the East End Community Sisterhood Outreach Ministry will be in session  Tuesday, October 22nd through 29th from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  Reverend Dorothy Ervin will be the facilitator. The topic is “Sisters’ United  In Prayer.”
The East End Community Sisterhood Outreach Ministry, will host its annual Fall Conference. This years’ conference will focus on “Breast Cancer Awarness.” The church is asking all survivors of  Breast Cancer to call 252-446-5442 to pre-register. A “A Ladies in Pink Luncheon” will be held on Saturday, October 26th from 9 until 11 a.m. at the Four Seasons Restaurant, 209 N Church Street, with Pastor Addie H. Rawls, of New Generation Christian Church, as the guest speaker. On Sunday, October 27, a “Worship in Pink” service will be held at 11 a.m.   Survivors of Breast Cancer will be honored in commemoration of “Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
The church holds a community prayer meeting and testimonial service at 7 p.m. each Wednesday evening followed by Pastor Mack E. Battle facilitating in a verse-by-verse study of the book of 1st Corinthians.
The East End Brotherhood meets on the first and third Saturday of each month at 10 at 928 E. Highland Avenue in Rocky Mount. The focus of the group is to empower men to be responsible leaders in their church and community.
The East End Community Sisterhood Outreach Ministry will host their fall session October 7 and 14 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at the church, 928 E Highland Avenue in Rocky Mount. Sadie V. Moody, instructor for the NC Women’s Convention and retired educator for NRMS will serve as facilitator.

The church in Spring Hope will celebrate its 144th Church Anniversary on Sunday, September 28 at 3 p.m. The Rev. Christopher Haywood, of Allen Chapel AME Church, Jackson, will be the guest speaker. Music will be provided by the White Oak Church male chorus.
Power House COGIC
The church will feature special guest Supt. John E. Gatlin, of Bolton, NC at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26.
Englewood Baptist Church
The church will hold the East Coast Women’s Bible Conference on Friday, October 17 from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m. and on Saturday, October 18 from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at 1350 South Winstead Avenue in Rocky Mount. Edgecombe/Nash and Vicinity Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Association
The association will meet on October 13 at 6 p.m. at East End Baptist Church, 928 E. Highland Avenue, Rocky Mount. Marks Chapel Baptist Church

Nashville Baptist Church
Nashville Baptist Church has started its AWANA program. The program is for ages three to 12 and is on Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. For info, call the church office at 459-3403.
The church has rescheduled its Community Fun Day for Saturday, October 18 from 10 am to 3 pm. The event was originally set for September 13 but cancelled due to the weather. This is a fun event for all ages!  There will be inflatables for kids; food/drinks; games; and much more - Admission is free. Nashville Baptist is located on 512 E. Washington Street. 
St. John Missionary Baptist Church
The church will have a Pastor’s Appreciation Service at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 12. The guest speaker will be Rev. Tommie Arrington, of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Enfield. He will be accompanied by his choir and congregation.
The church will observe Homecoming at the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday, October 19. Rev. Darryl Crump of Washington, DC will be the guest speaker.
Castalia Baptist Church
The Jay Stone Singers will be in concert at Castalia Baptist Church on October 5, 2014 at 6:00 PM.  The church is located at 9563 Main Street in Castalia.  There will be no charge for the concert but a Love Offering will be taken.
Christ Christian Center Holy Church
The church will hold Fall Revival on October 1st, 2nd and 3rd with different speakers and choirs each night at 7 p.m. On Wednesday night, Evangelist Elisabeth Stancil; Thursday night Pastor Shirley Staton and on Friday night, Evangelist Judy Richardson. Mt. Vernon Baptist Church
The church will celebrate its 58th annual Women’s Day Worship Service on Sunday, September 28 at 11:15 a.m. The theme is “Preaching, teachikng, Reaching to Make a Difference: Reaching the Masses.” The guest speaker will be Minister Micara Sessoms, Associate Minister of First Calvary Baptist Church in Durham. Guest singers will be the Anointed Sisters and Brothers of Nashville.
Galatia AME Church
The church will observe its annual Women’s Day Program on Sunday, September 28 at the 11 a.m. worship service. The message will be given by Rev. Mildren C. Brown, pastor of Galatia AME Church. Music will be provided by the Galatia AMEC Mother/Daughter Choir. Rev. Doris Lindsey, pastor of Mann’s Chapel AME Church will deliver the message at the 3 p.m. servie, with the Mann’s Chapel AME Church providing music. Dinner will be provided. Shenandoah Baptist Church
The church will honor veterans and POW/MIA on Saturday, October 11 at 6:30 p.m. Special guests include American Legion Post 110 Chaplain James Ervin and American Legion Post 110 Commander Larry Womack. Chalk Artist Dr. David West and Recording Artist Cassie Dunn will also be there. The event is free, however, a love offering will be accepted. All money will go to help veterans. Mount Zion First Baptist Church
The church will hold Revival October 22 through 24 at 7 p.m. nightly. The revivalist is Rev. Dr. R. Lee, Pastor of Brown’s Memorial Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD. Different choirs will perform nightly. Mount Zion is located at 320 West Thomas Street, Rocky Mount.
Vaughan Chapel PH Church
The church will observe Homecoming on Sunday, October 5 at 10 a.m. Special singing will be by the Sanderson Family Singers. The guest speaker will be Rev. Charles Thompson. Lunch will follow in the fellowship hall. The church is located at 7261 Vaughan Chapel Road, Elm City.
Emanuel Chapel O.F.W.B. Church
The church will hold Prayer Day every Friday at noon at 635 Henry Street in Rocky Mount.

Rock Hill Baptist Church
The church will hold a missionary program at the church on October 5 at 5 p.m. Rev. Sanders, choir and ushers of Bethel AME Church of Spring Hope will be the guest. The church is located at 2553 W. Old Spring Hope Road in Nashville.
