ROCKY MOUNT - Mrs. Barbara Jean Battle, 71, of Rocky Mount, died on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.

There was a visitation for Mrs. Battle from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, December 6, 2010, at Word Tabernacle Church in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.  The interment will take place immediately following the service in the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in Rocky Mount.
