RV tops Birchwood, Benvenue
ROANOKE RAPIDS -- Host Roanoke Valley claimed a tri-match victory against Birchwood and Benvenue during Nash-Halifax Swim League action last Thursday.
RV collected 521 total team points, compared to 253 for Birchwood. The upstart Benvenue program, which is new to the N-HSL lineup this summer, closed with 60 points. More ...

‘Dogs Win Tourney
ROCKY MOUNT -- On July 27, the Nash Central High 13U Bulldogs matched up against the #1 seeded team from Northern Nash in the 2010 Nash County Babe Ruth Baseball Tournament Championship. 
Playing at mid-afternoon in what would be one of the hottest days of this young summer, the Bulldogs were equally as hot, defeating Northern Nash 6-1 in 7 innings of play.  More ...
