Though St. Patrick's Day was yesterday, I still thought it good to share some thoughts concerning him.
St. Patrick's Day really is a perfect recipe for trouble. For instance, it's right smack in the middle of March, which means warmer weather, Spring Break has just ended for college students and will soon be here for high school students.

If you're going to call me names, use the right one

What the heck is a Carolinian?
It's gone beyond the pale for me to constantly see and hear references to "Carolina" or see a commercial directed to "Carolinians."

Boycotting doesn't solve a difference of opinion

Spring Hope, like many small towns, is dealing with issues stemming from poorly maintained historical buildings in its downtown.
When driving through Spring Hope's downtown, the first thing that catches one's eye, in my opinion, is the beautiful majestic pieces of architecture.

There are more children than ever at the border posed for similar smuggling operations no doubt.

A SWEET VICK-TORY

STANHOPE -- Two-game regular season football losing streaks are unheard of in recent memory at Southern Nash -- even if both losses came on the road in the final minutes against Class 4-A opposition in Wake County.

CRACKING UP!

In the U.S. in 1998, hens produced 6,657,000,000 dozen eggs - that's 6.657 billion dozen! After these eggs were laid, about two-thirds were sold in the shell and one third of them were broken - not by accident, but on purpose. Because after the eggs are broken out of their shells, they can be made into liquid, frozen, dried and specialty egg products.

Where does your food come from?

Where does your food come from? If you're like many Americans, the answer is the grocery store, which is disturbing. The grocery store isn't where food comes from - it's just from where it's distributed. In reality, far too many people are unaware of the role of American agriculture in their daily lives . . . and what it really takes to have food on their dinner table.
