Nashville man hospitalized after gunfire exchange with Nash County Sheriff's deputies; arrest and charges pending

NASHVILLE - A 52-year-old Nashville man is hospitalized at Wake Med in stable condition with charges pending after he was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with two Nash County Sheriff's deputies late Sunday evening.
Keith Stone, Nash County Sheriff, held a press conference at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, about the incident, which involved James Breheim and two deputies, Sgt. Miguel Salazar and Lt. David Walker, at a home on the 2000 block of Reges Store Road, which is in a heavily-populated subdivision. Deputies responded just prior to midnight Sunday.
