LOUISBURG - Mattie Richardson Mitchell, 98, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Castalia Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Victor Fenner officiating.
Survivors include two daughters, Gwendolyn Freeman, of Castalia and Faye Moore, of Wake Forest; two sons, John Mitchell, Newport News, Virginia and Horace Mitchell, of Hunstville, Alabama; one brother, Elijah Richardson, of Wagram; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
