BETTY JOEL LANGLEY FISHER

Betty Joel Langley Fisher, 75, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014. She was born in Rocky Mount on August 25, 1938 to the late Jackson Lee Langley, Sr. and Sarah Tharrington Langley.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Lawrence “Coy” Fisher and siblings, Mary Lewis Langley Burton and Jackson Lee Langley, Jr.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sarah Cameron Fisher of the home and her special friend, Scott Smith of Rocky Mount, and Becky Fisher Parks and her husband Julian of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Barbara L. Fisher.
A graveside service was held  Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Terry Huffines officiating. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Junior Guild of Rocky Mount Scholarship Fund or The Fred E. Turnage Local Chapter of the American Red Cross.
