William Edward Hunt, 71, passed away September 13, 2014. He was born in Halifax County to the late Eugene Hunt Sr. and Elizabeth Lindsey Hunt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Wilson, Harvey and Eugene Hunt Jr.; sisters, Alice Virginia Smith, Jackie Walker, Helen Chalker and Frances Hunt.
He is survived by his brothers, Dr. Franklin Hunt (BeeBee) of Fayetteville, Rev. Bobby Hunt (Dawn) of Fayetteville, David Hunt of Enfield, Rev. Ronald Hunt (Ruth) of Elm City; sisters, Beatrice Olverding of Medford Oregon, Ernestine Gibson of Wilson, Thelma Thurman (Edward) of Aiken, SC, and Linda McNeely (Glenn) of Nashville.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Jerome Mozingo officiating.  Burial  followed the service in Elmwood Cemetery Enfield.
