Marie Hedgepeth McDonald, 77, of Rocky Mount, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015. Open visitation will be held at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 31 at 1 p.m. from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Nashville. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The Rev. Julia McDonald will officiate.

Survivors include her husband, James McDonald; daughter, Barbara Ann McDonald of Winston Salem; sons, Bobby McDonald of the home, James A. McDonald (Joanne) of Rocky Mount, Steve McDonald (Mattie) of Rocky Mount, Timothy McDonald (Mary) of Durham, and Derrick McDonald of Rocky Mount; sister, Janice Alston (Bob) of Nashville; brothers Thurman Hedgepeth and Frank Hedgepeth, both of Rocky Mount; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
