RED OAK - Lula Belle Daniels Walker, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Born in Nash County, NC on January 2, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Mack McKinley Daniels and Athalea Evans Daniels. She was also preceded in death by her son, Donald Henry Walker; her sister, Polly Cary, her brothers, Billy Daniels, Charles Daniels, Earl Daniels, Edward Daniels, Robert Daniels and Harvey Daniels.
Lula was a dedicated member of Beulah Church of Christ. She always put others before herself. She was known for her love of flowers. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Lula leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Jim Henry Walker; her son, Francis Charles "Buddy" Walker and wife, Sandra, of Red Oak; her daughter, Sylvia Powell and husband, Allen, of Battleboro; and Ellen Walker of Red Oak. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Amy Hoeing; and great-grandson, Joseph Hoeing; several nieces and nephews and one special great-niece, Missy Brantley.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Christopher Matchem and Pastor Daniel West officiating. Burial will follow at Red Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, April 22, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services and other times at the home in Red Oak.
The family would like to thank Universal Healthcare/Nashville and PruittHealth Hospice for their dedicated service in caring for Lula.
