Arma Winstead Vaughan "Mimi"

Arma Winstead Vaughan "Mimi", 89, of Elm City passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. She was born on June 17, 1927 in Nash County. She was the daughter of the late Ed Winstead and Effie V. Winstead. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Vaughan; two brothers, Wade E. Winstead and Hulon Williams; and one sister, Inez Lascallette.

She is survived by one son, Mike Vaughan and wife, Cindy of Rocky Mount; one daughter, Angie Baker and husband, Randall of Elm City; six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday September 2 at Southside Baptist Church, Elm City. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Wilson. Dr. Harry Fowler officiated.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 4948 Carter Road, Elm City, NC 27822 or Rocky Mount Gideon Camp, PO Box 485, Nashville, NC 27856.
