Mildred Battle Sumler, 72, of Newark, New Jersey, and formerly of Rocky Mount, died on December 9, 2016 in Newark, NJ.
A visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. with the funeral service following the visitation beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church; 702 W. Raleigh Blvd., in Rocky Mount. The Entombment will take place immediately after the service in Gardens of Gethsemane in Rocky Mount.
