Ronald Lee Smith, age 70, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016. Born in Nash County on July 7, 1946, he was the son of the late Roscoe Lee Smith and Bessie Boone Smith. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Edwards Smith; and brothers, Luther and Wayne Smith.

Ronald is survived by his son, Ryan Lee Smith of Rocky Mount; brother, Louis Smith of Nashville; sisters, Elizabeth Faye Keeter of Raleigh and Janelle Smith Gentry of South Hill, VA; one nephew; three nieces.

Services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Jimmy Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum.
