John Wade Dew, 53, of Middlesex, passed away on December 27, 2016. His funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 31, at Joyner's Funeral Home in Wilson. Interment will follow in the Dew Family Cemetery, West Hornes Church Road. The Rev. Timothy Deans and Rev. Jeff Westerfield will officiate.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.

He is survived by the love of his life, Tammy Brown; son, Jeremy Wade Dew; one granddaughter; parents, Billy John and Rebecca Dew and his in-laws, Jimmy and Shelia Brown.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Dew Worrell; grandparents, Homie and Eula Dew and W.B. and Audrey Williams, and his brother-in-law, Ryan Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested in John's memory to the Free Will Baptist Children's Home of Middlesex, PO Box 249, Middlesex, North Carolina 27557.
