William "Billy" T. Brinkley, Jr., age 85, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Born in Wilson County on March 21, 1931, he was the son of the late William T. Brinkley, Sr., and Clara Williams Brinkley.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Flora Davis Brinkley; son, Michael "Mike" Davis Brinkley (Sue) and daughter, Debra Brinkley Chilton (Rick); four grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Dr. Billy Webb and Rev. Alvin Davis officiating. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1742 Ringwood Road, Enfield, NC 27823.
