Nancy Etheridge Stallings, 71, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017. Born in Edgecombe County on August 15, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William C. Etheridge and Bettie Adkins Etheridge. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter Rhonda; her sisters, Evelyn Alston, Lois Wells, and Betty Jean Fountain; her brothers, John "J.D." and Wayne Etheridge.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Marvin Bunn Stallings; daughters, Crystal Stallings Proctor and husband, Rusty of Rocky Mount and Melody Stallings Dickinson and husband Neil of Spring Hope; four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; brother, William "Bud" Etheridge; sister, Velma Pope.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Dr. Harry Fowler and Rev. C.J. Cauble officiating. Burial followed at Mill Branch Cemetery.
