Margaret (Maggie) Scruggs Murrill, widow of Joseph E. Murrill, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017. She is survived by her children: Robert of Rocky Mount, Paula of Charleston, SC, Mary Jo of Greenville, and Kimberly and her fiancé Jimmy Roberson of Rocky Mount.

Margaret was born on February 21, 1927 in Haywood County, NC, daughter to Clarence A. and Bertha Brooks Scruggs.

Burial will be private at the family cemetery in Gum Branch, NC. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Humane Society of your choice.
