Van Buren Batchelor Jr., 70, passed away Friday September 8, 2017. He was born February 3, 1947 to the late Van Batchelor Sr. and Lucy Matthews Batchelor. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Vanette Coggin.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Betty; sons Van Buren Batchelor III and Joseph Scott Batchelor; 5 grandchildren; sisters Margie Brantley (Teeny) and Rebecca Britt.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Matthews Family Cemetery with Rev. Bill Brantley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the home on 5739 US 64A Nashville, NC 27856.
